Coming April 30 — DEERCAM!

Join scientists via live streaming video as they use technology and the scientific process to study the interaction between deer and their environment. This is a pilot distance learning event where you and your students can watch a deer being released after it's fitted with a head-mounted video camera and wireless transmitter. You and your students can e-mail questions and also listen to questions asked via videoconference by other students in Missouri.

This event is designed for 6-12th grade in two sessions.

Date and times of the pilot:

  • Monday, April 30, Rain date - Wed, May 2
  • 9-10 a.m. -- 6-8th grade
  • 1-2 p.m. -- 9-12th grade

This is a collaborative pilot project between MOREnet, University of Missouri, Department of Fisheries and Wildlife Sciences, Missouri Department of Conservation and RoundTrips.
