About e-Discovery
A number of MOREnet members have asked for information about e-discovery. This term refers to the rights and obligations of parties to a lawsuit to obtain or to maintain and produce electronic data from/to the opposing party. It has been in the news because of changes to procedural rules in federal courts in December 2006 codifying provisions in recent case law for the treatment of electronic information in lawsuits.
If you have questions about your risks or obligations regarding e-discovery in current or potential lawsuits, you should contact your legal counsel.
