MOREnet Video Services Overview
Video Services at MOREnet are offered on a reliable, dedicated network necessary for point-to-point and multipoint videoconferencing. Authorized users such as K-12 schools, higher education institutions, libraries, state government agencies and hospitals are assured the ability to communicate full-motion video via the high quality, statewide IP network maintained by MOREnet.
Missouri students are given the opportunity to learn in expanded, virtual classrooms with lecturing professors located miles away. Meetings occur efficiently and conveniently even with attendees located all over the state, nation and the world through videoconferencing services provided by MOREnet's Video Services.
During fiscal year 2004, MOREnet's Video Services connected
and supported over 4800 events and conferences.
MOREnet's Video Services operate on three Polycom MGC-100
video bridges using Polycom's Path Navigator gatekeeper. Our members use
predominantly Polycom codecs operating on H.323 standards,
as well as off-net ISDN.
In addition to providing a secure, reliable network for videoconferencing
activities, MOREnet Video Services provides assistance with scheduling, room
design, troubleshooting, product support and evaluations of hardware and
software.
